Toll Brothers Named 2012 Builder of the Year by Professional Builder Magazine

Arlington Heights, IL (November 1, 2012) — Professional Builder magazine (www.HousingZone.com), the nation’s leading business publication dedicated to the home building industry, has named luxury home builder Toll Brothers, Inc. its 2012 Builder of the Year. Horsham, Pa.-based Toll Brothers is the 47th builder to be honored as Builder of the Year by Professional Builder editors and the first two-time recipient; the firm was Builder of the Year in 1988.

The award honors innovative home builders whose ideas and business results over a period of time represent the best in home building. The winning firm is selected by the magazine editors, with input from a select group of industry executives.

The Toll Brothers executive team will receive their honor during an awards dinner at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas on January 21. Full coverage of Toll Brothers’ business operations will be featured in the December issue of Professional Builder, with extended coverage on HousingZone.com.

“Toll Brothers represents what is best about home building. They deliver quality homes and great overall value,” noted Patrick O’Toole, Editorial Director and Publisher of Professional Builder. “Throughout the company’s 45 years in business — particularly during the recent period of tumult for housing — Toll Brothers has been extremely foresighted in its business planning, its marketing, and its strong commitment to its home buyers.”

“We are honored to again be named Professional Builder of the Year. Having been in business for 45 years and public for 26 years, we have always strived to provide the highest-quality homes to our buyers. This award is a tribute to the wonderful associates at Toll Brothers, whose commitment to our clients leads the industry, and to the Toll Brothers brand that they have built,” said Robert I. Toll, executive chairman, and Douglas C. Yearley, CEO, in a statement.
