Scranton Gillette to Acquire Vance's Residential Lighting
February 27, 2009 - Vance Publishing Corporation and Scranton Gillette Communications have entered into a letter of intent whereby Scranton Gillette will acquire the assets of Vance's Residential Lighting Magazine and web site. "We are excited about the opportunity to enter into the lighting market with a well respected brand like Residential Lighting," said Ed Gillette, President and CEO of Scranton Gillette Communications. The transition will be directed by Harry Urban, Vice President of Scranton Gillette Communications. Harry was previously the VP-Interiors Media Network for Vance Publishing Corporation.
Peggy Walker, President of Vance Publishing Corporation predicts a smooth transition. "The sale of Residential Lighting increases our depth and focus on our core remaining markets.
