Dennis Martyka, VP/Group Publisher of Scranton Gillette Communications Water Group Publications, is Retiring

 

Arlington Heights, IL (June 3, 2018) — After an impressive 29-year career in media, Dennis Martyka, VP/Group Publisher, Scranton Gillette Communications, is scheduled to retire on July 13, 2018.

Dennis began his career at Scranton Gillette Communications in June of 1989 in the sales department. His hard work and dedication led to his advancements to Advertising Representative, Office & Sales Manager, Associate Publisher, and then Vice President/Group Publisher. He was a major contributor to the growth and continued success of the Water Group brands of Water & Wastes Digest, Industrial Water & Wastes Digest, Water Quality Products and Storm Water Solutions.

Dennis proved adept at retaining the best of Scranton Gillette Communications’ history of print-based products, while recognizing and leveraging the potential for digital opportunities. Starting with the repositioning of Water & Wastes Digest from product oriented to a reader focused in-depth editorial publication in the early 2000s, Dennis expanded the Water Group brands with the launch of Storm Water Solutions in 2004, conceptualized and executed its first live event “PumpTech” in 2009, and in 2012 launched Industrial Water & Wastes Digest, Storefronts and a variety of other highly successful digital products, the capstone of which is Scranton Gillette Communications’ first virtual trade show – Storm Water Solutions Expo – launched in 2014 and its live counterpart – Storm Water Solutions Conference & Exhibition – launched in 2017.
